PaaS users are more efficient and innovative

PaaS users are more efficient and innovative

Software is developing at a fast rate and it can be hard to keep up with all the new possibilities. But when you invest in the right services for your company it can save you a lot of time, expenses and trouble. Of course there is not a one size fits all solution available, each individual case has to be reviewed differently. In this article we will talk about what PaaS is and how it can be more efficient and innovative for your organization.

What is PaaS?

PaaS has many advantages to it’s users, unfortunately not everyone knows about these products and it’s benefits yet. The software-as-service principle basically means that you can use software from the cloud without having to use on-premise resources. The types of services go from simple cloud based apps to complex cloud enabled enterprise applications. It’s on a pay-as-you-go base and you receive all services through a secure internet connection. You also don’t have to worry about the operational work as well as computing, network and storing resources any more.

The costs and complexity of purchasing and managing software licences combined with the right infrastructure is also a thing of the past with Paas. This includes business intelligence (BI) services, database management systems and more.

PaaS is a solid base

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel when you use Microsoft services. Microsoft even offers AI (artificial Intelligence) as a service. With software getting more and more complex it’s good to know you have access to the most advanced techniques straight away.

To name a good example, the police recently started using hard- and software by wearing bodycams to help them fight crime. The recorded video’s are sent to the cloud by Microsoft and analyzed with the algorithms from PaaS’s ‘Cognitive Services’ solution. Image-processing algorithms can identify caption and moderate pictures, convert spoken audio into text and recognize natural languages.

By using smart solutions organizations can focus on their clients and spend more time on their business goals. All while having access to the most advanced and innovative software.
